Colerain built an early edge on Wednesday, but South Dearborn roared back to steal a 9-3 victory.

An RBI single by G Cornett gave South Dearborn the lead in the fifth inning.

K Eldridge recorded the win for South Dearborn. She allowed three runs over seven innings. She struck out six, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Hannah Lunsford, Tara Bailey and Cornett helped lead South Dearborn. They combined for five hits and two RBIs.

The top of the first saw Colerain take an early lead, 3-0. Baylee Hobeika singled to ignite Colerain ‘s offense. A passed ball then moved Madison Boomer from second to third. Camryn Huber doubled, scoring Hobeika and Madison Boomer. The scoreboard lit up again for Colerain when Huber scored on a groundout by Smith.

South Dearborn never surrendered the lead after the fifth inning, scoring one run on an RBI single by Cornett.

South Dearborn built upon its lead with five runs in the sixth. K Miller kicked things off with a double, plating Lunsford and R Willoughby.

The Cardinals next match up is scheduled for Thursday at 4:30 @ Amelia HS.
