Madison Boomer went 2-3 at the plate, but Colerain fell 13-1 to Hamilton on Tuesday.

Autumn Griffie recorded the win for Hamilton. She allowed one run over five innings. She struck out four, walked none and surrendered eight hits.

Maddie Taylor, Jasmine Clemmons, Griffie and Mya Halcomb helped lead Hamilton. They combined for seven hits and five RBIs.

Hamilton didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring five runs in the first inning when it scored on an error, a fielder’s choice, and a two-run single by Annie Hudson.

Colerain ‘s lone run of the ballgame came in the first inning on an RBI single by Tara Sprandel.

Hamilton built upon its lead with six runs in the third. A scored Halcomb for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by Clemmons’ single, scoring Ashley Halcomb.

The Cardinals move to 2-5 on the season and 2-2 in conference play. Colerain continues GMC play Wednesday at 4:30 @ Colerain.
