Cardinals News · Colerain Announces new Varsity Cheer Coach

Colerain High School is proud to announce Nicole Wodarski as the next Varsity Cheerleading Coach, pending board approval!  Coach Wodarksi is currently in her 13th year at Colerain High School as a Spanish teacher, her 20th year overall with the Northwest Local School District.  During her time at NWLSD, she was also a Cheerleading Coach at White Oak Middle School.  Coach Wodarski also currently serves as a Class Advisor for Colerain High School.  Welcome Nicole Wodarski!

Colerain High School is also excited to welcome back Junior Varsity Coach Knight, and Freshman Coach Taleff for the 18-19 school year!

There will be a mandatory parent meeting next Tuesday, April 10th at 6:00pm in the High School cafeteria for any incoming 9th – 12th grade student interested in trying out for cheer.






What: Tryouts for Freshman, JV and Varsity Colerain High School Cheerleading teams


Who: Incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th grade girls


When: Mandatory Clinics at CHS gym – April 30, May 1, May 2, from 3-5 pm

Tryout Day – May 3, from 4:30 – 8:00 pm


What to wear: Clinic days – School Colors, hair pulled back

Tryout Day – Plain White shirt, black shorts, hair pulled back


What to Bring: Water bottle, positive attitude and a smile 🙂



  • Pass all core academic classes for 2nd Semester of the current school year
  • Attend Mandatory Meeting on April 10th in CHS cafeteriapotential cheerleader and at least 1 parent/guardian representative must attend.


Need a refresher/jumpstart on cheers, jumps and the fight song? Attend conditioning!

April 17, 5-7pm

April 25, 3-5pm
**If you make the squad – all team members and at least 1 parent must attend a New Squad Meeting on Weds. May 9th at 6:00-7:00 pm in the CHS Cafeteria.
