Colerain announces Patrick Cosgrove as next Men’s Basketball Head Coach, pending board approval


Colerain High School is pleased to announce Patrick Cosgrove as the next Men’s Basketball Head Coach, pending board approval Monday, April 22, 2019. Cosgrove spent the last five seasons as the head coach of Summit Country Day, where he led the Silver Knights to 94 wins from 2014 – 2019, including three Miami Valley Conference championships, two District Championships, and two Regional final appearances – with his best season coming in 2017, where they finished (26-1) and he was named Div. III Southwest Ohio Coach of the Year.


Prior to becoming the head coach at Summit, Cosgrove spent 10 seasons as an assistant coach at Summit, where he helped lead the 2012 team to a Div. III OHSAA State Championship, under the direction of former head coach Michael Bradley.

Cosgrove is a 2001 graduate of Summit, who holds two Bachelor’s degrees from Xavier University, and is expected to finish his Master’s degree from Xavier this year.
