Cardinals News · CHS Announces New Wall of Memories Project

Colerain High School is excited to unveil the new “Wall of Memories” project celebrating the history of Colerain’s academic, athletic, and fine art achievements.

If you visited Colerain High School in the past, you may have noticed the collection of sports team photos dating all the way back to the mid-1920’s, that wrap the hallways of the first floor. Each year new photos are added to the wall. The display of these photos could not have been possible without the help of the Colerain Boosters and the Alumni Association. The photos and displays replay a rich history and tradition of CHS programs.

We are now creating a new phase to the Wall of Memories. The amount of space available and a desire to capture these memories electronically have caused us to look at other ways to keep the tradition going well into the future. Recently, Colerain High School displayed a new “mural” in the back entrance to the school, showcasing many of those teams and athletes from our rich history. The mural is simply stunning and a great addition to the building.

In addition to the mural, soon you will notice two interactive touch screen televisions, one at each entrance to the school, that will serve as a digital archive to the history of Colerain High School. You will be able to quickly locate and view academic, athletic, and fine art accolades and other memories of CHS. Those will include Summa Cum Laudes, Valedictorians/Salutatorians, yearbooks, class pictures, past principals, team pictures, Hall of Fame, record books, and much more.

This new project could not be possible without the help of Colerain Boosters, the Class of 2020, and two local businesses.
