On Friday, October 18, 2019, Colerain High School will be hosting Mason High School at 7 PM in a regular season GMC varsity football contest that will feature many highlights of the Colerain and Cincinnati communities.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the NFL and the Cincinnati Bengals “Fantennial Weekend,” Colerain High School was one of six area high schools selected to host the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend. Current players John Ross and Joe Mixon, and Bengal legends Anthony Munoz and Bob Trumpy will serve as honorary captains for Colerain High School and Mason High School for the coin toss.

In addition, the Cincinnati Bengals have selected Colerain High School to represent the entire Cincinnati area and its high school football teams to deliver the coin for the coin toss at the Cincinnati – Jacksonville game this Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium. Participating with the Bengals will be Head Coach Shawn Cutright, Assistant Principal Mike Stevens, and current Colerain players Ace Ehrenschwender and Elijah Ford.

Friday’s game will also feature an “Orange Out” in honor of the late Mr. Joe Bertram, a Colerain alum. Mr. Bertram was a beloved teacher, coach and administrator for Northwest High School and Colerain High School. Mr. Bertram passed away on October 4, 2016, after losing his battle with leukemia. Colerain High School and Northwest High School will forever be #JoeStrong
